I would say this happens 1 out of every 5 or 6 games. Help!Īlso, I should add that some games it doesn't close out at all and I can play 3-4 hours with no problems. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a reason for why this is happening or any way that you know of to fix it and to prevent the game from closing out on its own? This is the one thing that's making me consider not continuing to play the game because it's just so frustrating. When it closes it goes right back to the Steam library page for the game. It doesn't matter if I'm playing in a ranked match online, just regular online, or in a game against just AI or even in a campaign, the game will just close out of nowhere with no error message or popup and no explanation of any kind. Recommended to only try this Open Beta Patch. Tried resetting the store app, erasing the cache, re-installing the Game Services app, re-installing the Xbox Console Companion App, and other sorts of things recommended by Microsoft Support with no luck so far. Make sure you have the v1.21.00 or higher before applying the patch below. For the longest time, the competitive scene played the game via the client Voobly with the UserPatch mod. The previous HD Edition was a more modern version of the original game, graphical warts and all, but the Definitive Edition arrived with new graphics, an updated soundtrack, new architecture, and best of all, new civilizations. Besides the original version, which was released for Windows in October 1999, an HD Edition (2013) and a Definitive Edition (2019) have been released. Age of Empires 2 found new life when the Definitive Edition launched in 2019. It is the second game of the Age of Empires series. It doesn't necessary happen 30 minutes after I start a game though, it can sometimes happen 2-3 hours plus after starting a new game and that really is unfortunate since the game is usually wrapping up by then and it's recorded as a loss or a resignation when it would have been a victory had the game not closed out. The Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition game doesn’t download or install on my PC via the Microsoft Store no matter what I do. Age of Empires II is a real-time strategy computer game set in the Middle Ages. You should now notice the game run an update and do another download. Same story for me and it is super frustrating.
